PROJECT
An independent documentary project exploring the Oasi di Sant'Alessio, a wildlife sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of birds and endangered species. Filmed over the course of a year, the documentary follows the changing seasons, documenting the evolution of the animals, the rhythms of the sanctuary and the people whose work has shaped its mission for decades.
Through a series of interviews with the sanctuary's founder, its falconer and the founder's grandson, the film weaves together personal stories, conservation and the relationship between humans and wildlife. I developed the project together with Maurizio Morra, from concept to production, overseeing every stage of the process, from research, moodboards and visual development to cinematography, lighting and direction. The documentary is currently in post-production, and for now only the first three teaser films can be shared while the feature is being completed.
